Important Notice: All climbing route images, location data, and related climbing information displayed on RouteGuessr are sourced from Mountain Project.

Content Attribution:

  • All images and climbing data are property of their respective copyright holders and contributors on Mountain Project
  • RouteGuessr does not claim ownership or licensing rights to any images or data sourced from Mountain Project
  • This service is operated under fair use for educational and non-commercial purposes
  • Users should refer to Mountain Project for original content and proper attribution

If you are a copyright holder and believe your content is being used improperly, please contact us immediately for removal.

4. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of RouteGuessr, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

5. AI Route Recommender and Safety Disclaimer

CRITICAL SAFETY NOTICE:

RouteGuessr features an AI-powered route recommendation chatbot. This chatbot is an artificial intelligence system and has no real experience rock climbing. The AI has no actual comprehension of the inherent risks associated with rock climbing or route recommendations.

  • Do NOT rely upon AI/LLM recommendations for accurate climbing information
  • AI-generated recommendations may contain errors, inaccuracies, or dangerous suggestions
  • Route information is gathered from multiple sources, including Mountain Project, but accuracy cannot be guaranteed
  • AI systems can hallucinate or generate plausible-sounding but incorrect information

You assume full responsibility for your own safety. Rock climbing is an inherently dangerous activity that can result in serious injury or death. Proper guidance from experienced climbers, certified instructors, and professional guides is severely recommended to avoid injury. Always:

  • Verify all route information with current, authoritative sources
  • Seek guidance from experienced climbers or certified professionals
  • Use proper safety equipment and techniques
  • Assess your own skill level honestly before attempting any route
  • Check current conditions and local regulations
  • Never climb alone without proper safety measures
